Metropolitan bus

In accordance with Article 4.1, e) of the bylaws of the Metropolitan Transportation Consortium of the Seville area, one of its functions is to establish the Geographical Framework Tariff System for the provision of services within its territorial scope.

In line with the above, number 2 of the mentioned Article 4 in its subsection a) indicates that the Consortium may, among other actions, establish the necessary mechanisms to carry out the tariff integration of regular public transportation services for people in its scope, as well as the equitable operation of the Geographical Framework Tariff System and the adopted tariffs.

Under the protection of the aforementioned article, the Executive Committee of the Transportation Consortium has been defining the tariff framework for metropolitan services based on agreements adopted in the sessions held on March 8, 2002, June 28, 2005, November 21, 2008, and March 30, 2009.

The tariff framework aims to promote the use of public transportation and increase the level of integration of the metropolitan space, facilitating intermodality for citizens through the use of a single transportation ticket common to all operators.
